BJ Ross attended Washburn University, which helped lay the foundation for a career centered on operations, logistics, leadership, and organizational development. Over the course of more than two decades in corporate operations and logistics, BJ continued developing his professional knowledge through hands-on leadership experience, process improvement, team development, and the management of complex operational environments.

The skills developed throughout his education and corporate career continue to play an important role in his work today. His ability to approach challenges strategically, organize people and resources, and establish effective processes has provided a strong foundation for his transition from corporate leadership to business ownership.

Previous Experience

Before becoming Owner and Operator of Quality Fence, BJ built an extensive career in operations, logistics, and fulfillment. His professional background includes more than 20 years of senior operations and logistics experience, giving him considerable knowledge in areas such as process management, organizational leadership, team building, and operational efficiency.

Among his previous leadership roles, BJ served as Vice President of Logistics & Fulfillment at Omaha Steaks. The experience strengthened BJ's ability to evaluate processes, develop teams, solve operational challenges, and maintain high standards across an organization.

After spending more than two decades in corporate America, BJ brought that experience into entrepreneurship when he became the owner of Quality Fence. The transition allowed him to apply his background in operations and leadership to an established local fencing company with decades of experience serving Nebraska communities.

His approach to leadership emphasizes coaching, teaching, developing employees, and improving processes. Rather than viewing business growth solely in terms of completed projects, BJ recognizes the importance of creating opportunities for team members to strengthen their skills and knowledge as the company continues to grow.
